Fundraising at Lewis
Fundraising is a very important part of our school’s budget. Great fundraising efforts mean the difference between an adequate education and an enhanced educational full of many exceptional and enriched activities, which all children benefit from. At Lewis School we strive to raise money for the school in the simplest and least expensive ways for our families. The fundraising companies listed below are passive fundraising solutions. In most cases going to these sites to do your regular shopping, internet searches and so forth can add revenue to the Lewis’s budget. If many people use these companies those pennies can grow into hundreds and even thousands of dollars earned in a very low effort way. Tell extended family and friend about this page as the more people we have using these companies the more it helps Lewis’s fundraising effort grow. Please check this page regularly as we will be adding new passive fundraising efforts.

Search Engine use for Lewis:
GoodSearch – This search engine is powered by yahoo. Every time you use this site Lewis earns a penny. All you need to do to ensure that Lewis is paid is enter “Lewis Elementary School PTA”

Shopping for Lewis:
Scrip (gift cards) – “Substitute money” these are gift cards issued by merchants and can be used like cash to purchase products and services. When you purchase scrip for your favorite products and services funds are generated for our school. All proceeds from Scrip will go toward funding the Lewis Library.  You can receive an order form from the office or just click on the Scrip link.

eScrip – There are many companies that participate in this program. You register any one or all of your existing grocery loyalty, debit and credit cards for use in the program. Participating merchants will make contributions to your chosen group, based on purchases made by you, just by using the cards you have registered. Your purchases are tracked and available to you online, allowing you to see just how much you are earning on your child’s behalf!   How to register online:

1. Just click on the eScrip link above and Select Lewis School
2. You can search by name or by ID number. Lewis’ number is 500020229
3. Enter your information
You must have your Safeway club card number NOT your phone number.  If you don’t know your Safeway club card number call 1.877.safeway to get your card number). While you are there you can assign your debit/credit card(s) to Lewis too!

Office Depot - Office depot and www.officedepot.com will donate 5% of your purchases in store or online to Lewis (excluding technology equipment and furniture). All you need to do is give the cashier our school’s id # 70084232.  Office depot will send out a gift card for Lewis to make in store purchases.
Albertsons – Register your preferred savings card by going to the Albertsons website and clicking on “in the community.” Then click on “Community Partner,” and click on “Login or register with Preferred Savings Card.” If you have problems call 1.877.932.7948. Lewis can earn up to 4% of your purchases.

Target (visa card) - Have a Target Visa, Target credit card or Target check card? Enroll in the Take Charge program by clicking on this link or call 1.800.316.6142. Our school id # is 88352. Up to 1% of purchase made with your card either in store or online will go to Lewis. Target will also donate .5% when you use your Target card at stores other than Target. Online shopping for Lewis:
Amazon – Lewis Elementary receives a referral fee from Amazon for purchases made through this link.

eScrip Online Mall – Offers hundreds of name brand merchants online. Earn up to 10%, or more, when you shop at the eScrip Online Mall. Assign your debit or credit cards to Lewis and every time you shop Lewis earns money.  Here is the link shopping at the eScrip Online Mall:

GoodShop (by GoodSearch) - Enter “Lewis Elementary School PTA” into the select charity field and shop online with over 500 merchants. Up to 30% of the purchase goes to Lewis School.

Recycle & donate to Lewis:

Ink cartridge recycling – Drop off all your used ink cartridges at the school office. We will take care of the rest!

Campbells Labels for Education – Drop off all your Campbells Labels for education at the school office.
Box tops for education – Drop off all your box tops for education at the school office.
Cell phone Plans for Lewis:
Verizon – Earn $25 for Lewis every time you begin or renew your 2 year Service Agreement with Verizon Wireless. Form available at the school office.
Purchases from Lewis:

Participate in:

• The Fall Fundraiser – Innisbrook – Beginning September 25th – Ending October 12th

• The Lewis Elementary School Holiday Bazaar – 30% of the profits go to Lewis School
  

• Barnes and Noble Book Fair – 20% of proceeds to Lewis as long as customers mention Lewis when they check out (more details shortly)
  

Lewis Eats Out -
Lewis Eats Out is a fun way to help and easy way to help Lewis School.  What we do is partner with area businesses on a given night and a percent of the proceeds goes to Lewis.  In other words the simple act of eating at the restaurant we will earn money for Lewis.  Here is a summery of the Lewis Eats Out restaurants and dates that we have already scheduled:

October 13th, Papa Murphy’s on Woodstock from 3-9pm 20% to Lewis
November 17th, The Funky Door on Holgate and 28th all day 20% to Lewis
December 8th, Pizza Roma on Woodstock, all day 20% to Lewis
January 12th, Burgerville on Powell and 26th, 5-8pm 10% to Lewis
February 9th, Laughing Planet on Woodstock, all day 20% to Lewis
March 9th, TBA
April 13th, Burgerville on Powell and 26th, 5-8pm 10% to Lewis
May – No eats out night
June 8th, TBA
