Good Morning,

4th Graders - Please continue to work on your ranch house design. Simply launch Sketch Up and look for your document under FILE > OPEN RECENT. Below I provided you with a few more pictures of ranch style houses to help with your design. But before you begin, take quick look at the Tree House Restaurant. There are prliminary sketches and photos of the conctruction towards then bottom the linked page.

5th Graders - We will start by expanding on our definition of Line as a element of art. We’ll look a few more examples. Because of the weather we will continue taking pictures indoors. We will also work at downloading the pictures we take.

3rd Graders - We’ll begin class with Master Key. Remember to sit up straight and keep those hands on the home row. After typing for 15 minutes we’ll begin working on a new Sketch Up project.

4th Graders - We’ll be working with Sketch Up today. Open the program, set your large too set and maximize your window. We will start right away.

5th Graders - Today we’ll be starting digital photography. I have a few rule and a few procedures to go over. We will review the rule of thirds, and then work with Line and how can effect our pictures. Below are a few examples…

Just a quick note to tell you that there is no Boomin’ Beats this week due to work on the 4th & 5th grade drama production. All other groups are meeting at their regular times.

4th Graders - Please start with typing. Towards the end of class I’ll show you a website that will help you with google Sketch Up.

5th Graders - Start with typing. More to come.

3rd Graders - Start with Master Key for the first 15 minutes. We will do a Para Typer Challenge during the last 5 minutes of typing.
Next we will finish working on our 3rd Sketch Up tutorial.

5th Graders - There will be time to finish your work for the election unit. Also I will show you a web site that could help with one of the extra credit assignments.

3rd Graders - Start with typing for the first 15 minutes of class. We will then return to learning how to use Sketch Up by completing part 2 of the tutorial.

4th Graders - We will first finish watching President Elect Obama acceptance speech. We will then have short discussion and look at some interesting new tools concerning the most recent election.

5th Graders - We will start with a quick look at election results from around the country. Next we will check in on the last assignments from the election unit.

Election Day is finally here!

Let’s celebrate by doing some Master Key!!!!

3rd Graders: Today will spend the first 15 minutes of class playing Para Typer. After that we’ll return to Sketch Up to finish tutorial 1 and look at tutorial 2.

4th Graders - Start with 10 minutes of Para Typer. We will then start the second tutorial for Sketch Up.

5th Graders - Start with 10 minutes of Para Typer. We will then have time to complete work on your election unit.

3rd Graders - Start with Master Key for the first 15 minutes of class. After that we will continue to work on our Sketch Up tutorial, “Learning to Draw Part 1″

4th Graders - Start with 10 minutes of typing. We will then work to complete the first of our three part tutorials in Sketch Up, “Learning to Draw Part 1″.

5th Graders - Let’s review what we learned about formatting. There will then be time to work on election unit projects.
