Good Morning 4th and 5th Graders.

Trumpet Players: Since I’m not at school today we will not meet at lunch. We will meet next Tuesday at Lunch.
Clarinet Players: Still plan to meet with me tomorrow at lunch recess.

All students please start with 15 minutes of Master Key. Remember that 5th graders need to complete through drill 32 by the end of year, while 4th graders need to complete through drill 16.

5th Graders when are finish Ms. Jen’s web quest on the Revolutionary War, which you all started yesterday. If you are finished with the web quest you can work on your script/ outline for you 5th Grade movie project.

4th Graders when you are finished with typing you may have some free time in either iPhoto, Google Earth, Sketch Up, or Garageband.

Boomin’ Beats we have a mandatory lunch recess practice today. Don’t be late!
Band practice after school today.

Please start with Master Key for the first 10 minutes of class.

Please start with 15 minutes to typing in Master Key.

When that time is over, please finish tagging, flagging and rating your photos.

When you have completed that process I’d like you to use your best photos to begin making a Keynote presentation.
The Presentation is should show examples of each of the design elements and principals of design that you have photographed.

Since we didn’t have tech yesterday we will be doing yesterday’s work today.

First I’d like to remind the Boomin’ Beat “Banana Islanders” that we will be practicing at Lunch Recess today.
There’s only 2 days left until our performance at the Garden Fair this Saturday.

Technology

1. Please start with 15 minutes of typing in Master Key.

2. iPhoto: Last week we began taking pictures. Today we want to start organizing those photos before we can take any more. I want you to review the video tutorials below and then begin organizing your photos.
Start by reviewing the tutorials by yourself on your computer.

Then meet with your partner at whichever computer has your pictures.
Remember to only work with the pictures you or your partner has taken.

By the end of class you should have:

Keywords: Choose from the following keywords that describes the element or principle of design shown in your picture:

positive negative space
symmetry
asymmetry

3. If you finish you can start a new keynote presentation that shows your best pictures demonstrating the elements and principles of design. Make a separate slide for each of the keywords above and add your photo example.

Good Morning 4th & 5th Graders,

Please start with 10 minutes of typing in Master Key on your latest drill.
Afterwards you teacher will tell tell you when you can do a little ParaTyper.

For the remainder of class could you please finish you KeyNote presentations (Last Day).
If you are finished you can choose to do Sketch Up, Garageband (Headphones!), Animationish, or Google Earth.
Those are your choices.

I’ll be back at school @ 11:45. I’ll see some of you at Boomin’ Beats practice today!

Good Morning,

Please start with Master Key.

Today we will be starting our unit on Photography.

Each day we will look at a historical fact about photography and it’s equipment.
And each day we will look a new technique, rule, or element to help make our own photographs better.

Today we will get some organization set up in iPhoto, look at the pinhole camera, and review the rule of thirds.

I’ll then be showing you two new tools in Keynote, “Grouping” and “Front/Back”.

Also Google has come out with a new way to compose and send email.
We will take a look at this potentially revolutionary technology.
