Good Afternoon 3rd Graders,
Please start with 15 minutes of Master Key.
Afterward I’ll be showing you how we login and start our state testing. Testing starts next Monday.
If there is time left, we’ll do some more exploring in Google Earth.

The Oregonian has an article today about Harvest of the Month that highlights Lewis. They also have a short video that is listed below. It might be an interesting study for you to compare and contrast the two pieces and see what your friends think regarding the point of view of the authors… Maybe some of our older students would like to write an article with a different point of view? Also, please note that I believe they misidentify Violet in second grade in the piece. Maybe Ms. Leake’s students would like to blast off an email so they can correct it.

Good Afternoon 3rd Graders,
I hope you had fun playing in the snow for the last 2 days. I’m glad to see you back and I hope you’re glad to be back at Lewis too.
I think we’ve worked out the seating, but there may still be a couple of issues today, so please be patient if I have to move you.
In preparation for next week’s reading test, we’ll be taking a practice test today. I’ll show you how to log on and the layout of this online test.
Please start with master key and I will let you know when we are ready to do the practice test.
If there’s any time left over we’ll use it working with Garargeband.
We’re diving right into our Sketch Up project. You can easily get there by first launching Sketch Up and then choosing your file under “Open Recent” in the “File” menu.
Remember the height restrictions. Nothing higher than 35 feet.
Have fun…
3rd Graders,
We’ll be doing about 10 minutes of typing and then be heading in to Sketch Up. We’ll be starting the self-paced tutorial number 2.
Good Afternoon 3rd Graders!
We will start with Master Key for the first 10 minutes of class.
For the remainder of class we’ll be following the self guided tutorials in SketchUp to design and build a custom house.
Before you start typing check out the London Bridge link at the end of this entry.

Good Morning 4th and 5th Graders!
After working for 10 minutes in Master Key, please return to your work in Google Sketch Up. If you saved your work from last class you can easily find your work under FILE > OPEN RECENT once you’ve launched Sketch Up. You should continue to work towards completing all 7 video tutorials. Don’t forget to show me your work before moving on to the next tutorial.
Before you get started check out this amazing London Bridge.
