Start with Master Key. After that we’ll take a few minutes to check out our NCAA Bracket. Click here. When your done, continue working on your script. When you think you’ve finished, call me over and I’ll check. I will then give you a storyboard sheet and camera so you can begin work on your storyboard.
Good Morning!
Today we’ll begin as usual with 10 minutes of typing drills in Master Key. We will then proceed to working on a new phase of our documentary project. This morning I’ll be talking about and demonstrating the pre-production phase called “storyboarding”. Storyboarding is an important step in visualizing and organizing your film project. We’ll take today to learn the process with time tomorrow to for you to begin your work.
After typing for 10 - 15 minutes we’ll be heading back to our script writing. You should be nearing the end of this processes. Remember that you’ll be using this script to make your documentary. Others will be following your script, so leave out no details.
Tomorrow we’ll be working on our storyboards. This will process will help break down each shot and scene of your film.
Good luck and work hard.
Today is much like yesterday. We’ll start with Master Key followed by working on our concept paper for our documentary project. Remember, when working on your concept paper, try to include as much detailed information as you can. The work you put into the planning stage will pay off when you are in the production stage. Take you time. Be thorough. Do your best work.
4th and 5th Graders,
Please continue to refine and improve you typing skills by working in Master Key for the first 15 minutes of class. During the last 5 minutes you’ll be able to play ParaTyper. I’ll make an anouncement to let you know when it’s o.k.
Next you’ll be working out your concept for you upcoming documentary. Open your “Favorite Place” document. (If you have trouble finding it, first check your smart folder, then raise your hand for help.)
Please fill in all squares with as much information as you can. Remember to type first, not worrying about wording, spelling, etc. When you’re finished inputting all your ideas, then go back to check for misspellings, grammar, etc.
When you’ve finished inputting all the boxes, you’ll need to write a narrative about your documentary. Use the second page of the “Favorite Place” document to write your narrative. Use the ideas you generated in the boxes above. Explain why this is an important place to you. What do you want other to know about your favorite place? What do you want others to know about yourself?
This morning we’ll start with Master Key. After 10 or 15 minutes I’ll show you how to open and save your own copy of the “My Favorite Place” document located on your desktop. We are starting the “Concept” stage of our documentary project. Before you begin working I’ll explain my expectations for this stage. For the remainder of our time today you’ll be working to complete this document.
Today we’ll be catching up on Master Key. After 10-15 of typing I’ll be introducing our next big project. If there’s time we’ll view a couple of student videos from our last project.
Welcome back. I hope everyone had a great weekend. Because of an unusual schedule last week (late opening, 5th graders visiting middle schools) we lost 2 days of computer lab. Many of you still need to complete the Garageband soundtrack project. Today is our absolute last day to complete these projects. Work hard and use your time wisely.
When or if you are done with this project you can work in SketcUp, iMovie, Google Earth, or Garageband.
4th/5th Graders
Work to complete you movie score project. When you’re done you may start your own project.
