Wednesday, December 13th, 2006We’re diving right into our Sketch Up project. You can easily get there by first launching Sketch Up and then choosing your file under “Open Recent” in the “File” menu.
Remember the height restrictions. Nothing higher than 35 feet.

Tuesday, December 12th, 2006Good Morning,We have so much work to do before we head off on Winter Break. If you recall from last class, we have imported our plots of land from Google Earth to Sketch Up. You should have titled your document like so “YOUR NAME + PLOT NAME”. An example would be “Tony B1″. This document should be in your smart folder, but if you need help finding it, please let me know by raising your hand.
Once you’ve found your document, double click on it to open.
Remember to refer back to you House Planning Sheet to make sure you are on track.

Thursday, December 7th, 2006This morning we’ll start by clean up our desktop. Put any documents that are yours in your folder – located in the Documents Folder. Don’t worry about files that are not yours.
After cleaning up please work on Master Key for about 5 – 10 minutes.
Later we’ll be getting our Land from Google Earth and importing it into Sketch Up. We’ll make several pages in the is new document. Save it and make a backup copy.
Congratulations Drama Students
Thursday, December 7th, 2006I wanted to congratulate our students from Mrs. Gould and Miss Davis’ classrooms for the great job they did last night at their drama production. I am looking forward to today’s performance. This performance, and the one done earlier in the year by students from Mrs Ross and Mrs. Bennett’s classrooms are both great examples of the good work done by students at Lewis.

Start by typing in Master Key for the first 10 minutes of class.
Next you’ll turn back to your Planning Sheet from yesterday. You should be able to see your copy in your Smart Folder. If you have trouble please ask for help. After about 15 minutes I’ll be demonstrating how to get your plot of land from Google Earth into Sketch Up.
I also sent you another document with pictures of different of houses in the United States for reference. It should be on your desktop entitled US Houses.

When finished there is a questionnaire on your desktop called Planning Sheet. Open this document by double clicking it. Once open answer the questions the best you can. If you need help talk with other members of group (from our building tour). We’ll go over this sheet towards the end of class.
