Last week we learned about signs you see in public. We saw pictures of restroom signs (men and women), wheelchair access, exit, entrance, walk/don’t walk, stop, and railroad crossing. We also practiced staying in place in line, and walking in a straight line in the halls and outside. For gardening, we observed how fast the plants are growing during the hot weather. Also, to beat the heat, we had tubs and buckets of icy water to soak hands and feet. On Monday, Mr. Lee showed the students how to bake rolls in a toaster oven. This week we also plan to learn about using public transportation, and find out about some of the places you can go on Tri Met and Max. We are also going to practice writing and remembering our phone numbers and home addresses.
