As the school year comes to an end, we are very busy with many activities. We have seen plays in the school auditorium, we went to the junior parade, participated in the Lewis field day, and of there will be the 5th grade graduation.
JUNE THEMES:
The June color is aqua, the color of water. The June shape, is a fish.
The June counting story is:
FIVE LITTLE FISH, SWIMMING IN THE LAKE.
The first one says: “Here comes the bait.â€
The second one says: “It looks like a worm to me.â€
The third one says: “Ohhhh, yummmmmmmmmy.â€
The fourth one says: “Take a good look.â€
The fifth one says: “On, no, there is a hook!â€
Then o-o-o-o-o went the wind.
And out went the lights.
And five little fishes, went swimming out of sight.
The kids in room 5 had a great time at field day. They watched the sidewalk art and got drenched by “sneaker waves†and water balloons. They enjoyed running around the playground with all of the other Lewis kids.
To those of you whose children are moving on, have a great time in middle school. To those of you whose children are returning, I look forward to seeing you next year. To all of you, have a great summer!
