As the end of the year closes, I wish to thank our incredible community for not only welcoming Mr. Colvin and myself as new teachers to your school, but supporting our efforts on a regular basis. Thank you for raising such imaginative, curious, creative, and special children! It was my pleasure working with them. I learned from them on a daily basis about the curriculum and myself. I had a very positive year! It was also tremendous meeting a man I consider a close friend, Paul Colvin, as my teaching partner at the beginning of the year. We regularly checked-in with one another and helped each other with a variety of issues. This week brings field day, Buddy Celebration at Berkeley on Thursday afternoon starting a 1:00, and our Oregon Trail “Pioneer Day,” on Friday afternoon. Please remember to (if you can) bring in a bonnet, dress, long-sleeved shirt, and apron for the girls, and a wide-brimmed hat, jeans, and long-sleeved shirt for the boys. Yeee-Ha! We’re almost on our way! We set out Friday afternoon! We will walk down to the Springwater Corridor and back up to school for pioneer games and food. If rained out for Field Day on Wednesday, we will make up Field Day on Friday afternoon and push the Pioneer Day to Monday. Homework this week: homework? NO homework! Thanks again!
