This will be the last post of the year. I can’t believe how fast this year has gone. Looking back at the photos from the beginning of the year I am amazed at how much these kiddos have grown. They have physically grown, academically grown, and emotionally grown. This is why I love teaching young children. The impact is so profound and clear. I feel great about sending them on to 1st grade. They have strong social skills, great learning behaviors and are ready for the academic challenges of 1st grade. As this week goes on, you will begin to see the room slowly transform back to how it looked at the beginning of the year. The walls will begin to look empty and the room will begin to be more organized. I think it is an important part of the process for them to see this transformation. It is good for closure. However, the learning will NOT stop. We will continue to have reading and math lessons as usual.
Looking ahead, we have field day on Thursday, June 7th in the afternoon. We are going to Brooklyn Park with our buddy class Tuesday June 12th in the afternoon. We have been reading our first chapter book, Stuart Little and as a culmination will view the movie the last day of school. So much to do, so little time. It has been a great year for me, and I have loved teaching your children and getting to know all the families. Thank you for all of your support this year. I can’t thank you all enough.
