*The year is winding down, and we are looking forward to several fun events these next two weeks! Please remember to turn in your permission slip for our walking field trip to Island Creamery. We are also having an end-of-the-year sundae party in our classroom, and ask for a few volunteers to sign up to bring an item. Check the sheet right outside the classroom door if you are interested or give me a call and I can sign you up. A week from today will be our annual Field Day event. Be sure to wear a pair of comfortable running shoes and other appropriate clothing for the day.
*In the classroom, we’ve completed one experiment on water evaporation, started an internet activity about the different types of clouds, begun a weather journal, and practiced reading thermometers. We’ve also started brainstorming ideas for some fun individual weather projects. An activity book has been sent home for the week’s homework to complement our habitat lesson at Tryon Creek.
*Library books need to be turned in as soon as possible so cataloguing can be completed!
