On Monday, St. Patrick’s Day was celebrated through math and art activities. We also had the opportunity to watch Kyndall from Mrs. Park’s Kindergarten class perform some Irish dancing! After lunch, Miss Cindy’s Irish son-in-law read the children a story and talked about growing up in Ireland and looking for leprechauns! On Tuesday, the children started a fun art project based off the book Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. They finished this project today, and their wonderful work will be on display in the classroom. In math, children have measured their potatoes and recorded their data, and we will continue to use their potatoes for more math activities later this week. Today we also had the opportunity to watch the drama club’s dress rehearsal of “Blather, Blarney, and Balderdash” and tomorrow we are going downtown to see the play “Go, Dog. Go!” Please remember to send a lunch with your child, or let us know if they need a sack lunch from the cafeteria. We will be eating lunch in the classroom at 10:30, and then leaving for the play around 11:15. We will be back at school around 2:20. Next week is Spring Break, and homework over spring break will consist of journal writing every day! Please bring your journal back to school the week after spring break. I hope you all have a very fun, relaxing break!
