It is an icy, snowy, wintery week and the days we will be in school this week are filled with wonderful, academic projects. We made cookie gingerbread creatures and decorated paper gingerbread men with our buddies; children painted their clay light holders, which will be fired in the kiln; children were read more versions of “The Gingerbread Man” and discussed setting, characters, ending predictions and retelling. Today your child is bringing home homework ideas to complete over the holidays and the sharing schedule that will begin in January. Tomorrow is our field trip to see The Wizard of Oz. I am assuming we will go, but it will depend on the weather; I will let you know when I find out. I hope you have a safe and wonderful winter break.
