*Last Thursday, I invited my choir friend, Rosalind Bell to visit our classroom. She is an accomplished folk dancer. Rosalind brought Dick Heijdeman, originally from Holland. They are quite the dancing duo and expertly taught us the following dances: The Grand March (USA), Siriul (Romania), Seven Jumps (Scandanavia), Zemer Atik (Israel), and Pata Pata (South African). It was a wonderful and memorable experience for all of us!
*Our fabulous student teacher, Leah Grant is leaving us after this Friday. Leah has done an exceptional job in her time with us and will be greatly missed by all. (The good news is she will be at the other end of the building working with Ms. V. for the winter term.)
*We are looking forward to a January visit to the Reed College Art gallery to view the prints of Jacob Lawrence.
