I hope you all had a wonderful spring break. It was fun to hear about eachother’s activities on Monday in our sharing circle. We are finishing up our unit on Native Americans this week, and taking our field trip to the Lelooska museum next Tuesday. Check with your child to make sure their permission slip is turned in. We still have availability for two or three more parents, if you are interested in chaperoning and are available. All our Native American reports are finished and turned in. The dioramas, which were due yesterday, are fabulous. The students put lots of work and creativity into them! Please stop by our end of the hall to see them on display. Speeches on each student’s Native American tribe will be finished up tomorrow and Friday.
Our Readathon is over and everyone enjoyed our afternoon of free-reading! Our room was full of blankets, cozy pillows, sleeping bags, and large and small stuffed animals, while all of us lounged and enjoyed books! If your child collected pledges for the number of pages read in our two-week Readathon, the money should be turned in right away. Many children earned a good portion of their OMSI camp fee this way, and had fun doing it!
