We had a wonderful event on Tuesday showing what we have learned in our Body Vox sessions.  The students showed their creativity in expressing what they know about our solar system through movement.  We had a test this week on adding and subtracting fractions.  Now we are learning how to multiply and divide fractions this week.   We are  continuing our study of worms in our invertebrate study in Science.  Last week, we learned the regeneration qualities of the planarian, a flat worm.   This week we will focus on segmented worms.

Please remember that March 15th is the deadline for the book cover of the realistic fiction book that your child has been reading for the past  2 months.  Please also remember that March 19 is the deadline for the science fair assignment.  Both of these assignment are being done independently and at-home.

Our Pilgrim study in Language Arts and Social Studies is continuing with weekly projects due every Friday and group assignments.   This week’s group assignment is discovering the tools and seeds that the Pilgrims may have taken on board the Mayflower.  You are welcome to come to our classroom on Friday for Grandparents and Special Friends Day.  We usually spend the last part of our day reading silently.  It is a nice and calming way to end our day at school.
