Welcome back. I hope your spring break was fun and restful. We stayed close to home, but did manage to make it down to Eugene to visit my old alma mater and see some friends. As I told many classes this week, Spring Break was always my favorite school break as a kid. It was just enough time to catch up on some needed sleep. Enjoy some adventures with my friends. Enjoy some quality time with my family. And at the end of the week I was ready to get back to school.
This week in music classes we are moving to a traditional line dance, “The Bridge to Athlone”. We are also working on some tricky hand clapping games, “Four White Horses”. And learning how to construct musical answers to musical questions using the poem “How Much Wood Could a Woodchuck Chuck”. In our technology classes 4th and 5th grade students are continuing to work on the Elements of Art through digital photography. This week we are working on capturing “texture” in our photographs. 3rd Graders will be working in garageband to narrate a silent movie and provide a simple and compelling soundtrack.
