This week all classes are getting a chance at the xylophones with tricky syncopated rhythm and polyphonic arrangements. Even our Kindergarteners are exploring the classroom xylophones with the poem, “Little Bird”.
We are getting closer to performance time for our after school groups. The first will be the 4th Grade Strings and the Booming Beats who will be playing for Lewis Garden Fair on Saturday April 23rd. That is quickly followed by performances from all 4 groups including 3rd Grade Recorder and 5th Grade Band at our anual Art Night on Thursday May 5th. And while we are mentioning dates, the Lewis Spring Concert will be Friday May 27. There will be more about these future concerts in the next few weeks.
