Primary students have heard I Took My Frog to the Library by Eric Kimmel and some classes heard The Shelf Elf by Jackie Hopkins. Ms. DiCenzo’s class read the pictures of a Chinese edition of Stella Louella’s Runaway Book by Lisa Campbell Ernst. Third, fourth, and fifth grade classes are being introduced to Gooney Bird Greene or Gooney Bird and the Room Mother, both by Lois Lowry. Ask your student if they can tell you the story they heard or their favorite part of the book.
