I hope you all enjoyed the 4-day weekend. Here at school we worked hard to get ready for conferences next week. I will be sending reminder forms home today and again next week. If you need to make a change, please call the office to arrange a new time. Today our school had the pleasure of a visit from many of the Portland Public Schools Area Directors. They visited in our classroom, as well as several other rooms throughout the day. It was a pleasure to show them all the great learning we do in Room 3. Speaking of learning, we have been working hard on addition in a variety of ways in class. We add up our results from the morning message, we do story problems and we have been playing a fun addition game during our Worktime. We have also been learning about the Grasslands and the animals that live there, as well as the different names baby animal are called. Ask your child what names a baby giraffe, lion, prairie dog, zebra, or kangaroo are called! It is a lot to keep track of! It looks like our volunteer calendar is filling up. Thank you for your support during that important learning time. We still need help this Friday, as well as the rest of the month. If anyone is available, it is greatly appreciated.
