Today we started an afterschool ESL (English as a Second Language) class for some of our parents. If you would like to join, we will be meeting every Wednesday from 3:00-4:00 until the end of the year in my room (15). In addition to working in a small group on vocabulary, reading, and writing, we will also be using a program we recently acquired called Rosetta Stone, a well known, computer based language program. I have been using it recently with some of our Lewis students as well as on my own, working on my Spanish, and it is a great way to learn as you get to work at your own rate and level on the skills of your choice.
