The fairy houses are finished and awaiting fairies, which are starting to appear.  Ella’s new fairy friend is Alice and Elf Man is ready to move into Alex’s house.  This week we will first be making a character map about our fairies and then a story map including characters, setting, problem, events, and solution.  From this, the children will write imaginative stories.  We had our second visit to the garden with Julia, and planted fingerling potatoes.  Gardening happens in groups of 8 and about every other Monday.  Theater began last week and will continue through April with performances May 4th in the afternoon and evening.  Ask your child what they do in theater class and mark May 4th on your calendar.  We’d like to send a special thank you to Lillian’s dad for cutting the wooden bases for our fairy houses and to Mr. Lundeberg for cutting hundred’s of sticks!  Our thanks also goes to our parents sending in invention materials, especially Molly’s dad!
