Congratulations to the actors of the “Homework Machine” and Googies are Coming”.  The children have now experienced the joy and excitement of performing on stage, as our drama study concludes.  Thank you parents for being a fabulous audience.  As scientists, our study of insects has become more focused.  We are taking a careful look at different kinds of insects.  Each child is focusing on an insect, doing a detailed black line drawing, which will be followed up with a construction project.  This is a second plea for Kleenex-a more desperate one.  Your children use many tissues (thankfully) and we are nearly out!  Please send a box to help us through the year.  Art night is tomorrow, May 1st, 6:30-8:00.  We hope you all attend so your family may share in the excitement art brings to Lewis School.  Many of the children have asked to be docents.  This requires 20 minutes beside one of our exhibits talking to visitors.  If your child wants to be a docent please try to make it happen.  The schedule was sent home on Monday, and is also posted outside our door.
