We had a wonderful day last Thursday at the pumpkin patch. The weather was beautiful and everyone enjoyed the farm. I would like to thank all the parent volunteers who not only helped keep groups small and organized, but also added to all the fun we had! This week brings continued focus on Worktime Centers, as well as our study of trees, leaves, and the farm. Next week we will begin to focus on apples, too! In journaling we have been using words: I, like, see, am, and at. We also are focusing on capitals and ending marks. Students take pride when they remember to use an ending mark at the end of their sentences. I am so impressed with the incredible learning that is happening in our room. Children are beginning to settle into our routine and everyday feels more focused. Please remind your child about the importance of making good choices, following directions, doing their personal best and careful listening. It seems that Comet’s arrow has struck a few children in the class and it is important that all children show respect by keeping their bodies to themselves and refraining from any affectionate gestures! Thank you for your help with this. Lastly, there is a volunteer calendar hanging outside the room. Please stop by and sign-up if you would like to help out.
