Don’t forget to be at your child’s “Open House”, which is tomorrow at 6:00 p.m. We will meet outside for an introduction from Mr. Lauer, and then all of the teachers will be available in their classrooms to meet parents and guardians. This will give you the opportunity to ask any question that you have about the standards and benchmarks of the new grade. Also, the Parent/Teacher Conference sheets will be in the classroom to sign-up for fall conferences.
Since many of you will be at the “Open House” on Thursday, there will be no math homework. However, have your child review their spelling words on Wednesday and Thursday for the spelling test on Friday. I will, also, have, a sample of the ABC HOMEWORK. Only my advanced readers will have to do the open-ended assignment, the other students have to make a written request to select this homework, instead of the one sheet ABC overnight assignment. If this seems confusing, I will clarify the homework at the”Open House”.
