Colonists have arrived in the New World, have located their land, and have been struggling to construct their settlements. If you can, stop by our classroom and look at the amazing models students have been working on this week. Our fifth graders have been writing diary entries in the “voice” of their colonist, and they have been producing some of the best writing this year. Many students have also earned extra wealth points for their colonies over the last two weeks by completing colonial homework projects. We began a new Investigation math unit called “Between Never and Always;” this unit addresses the concepts of probability and statistics. No math homework was assigned this week; there will be no homework over Spring Break. Today was the last day for Camp Bank; you will receive a final bill after Spring Break. Please send the balance by April 1st. Continue to have your child practice their reading and work on multiplication facts next week. Have a great Spring Break!
