Thank you Claire, Iona, Bett, Sandra, Evan, Charla, Kellen, Sage, Austin, Kennedy, Zooey, Lesly for being Art Docent during Art Night. You did a fantastic job sharing about Vincent van Gogh’s life and about the art pieces the class created. It was nice seeing all the parents enjoy and appreciate the children’s’ artistic talents.
Our field trip to Brookside Wetlands is on Monday, May 14th. Please turn in permission slip before or on Thursday, May 10th. The students need to dress for the weather and this habitat. Despite the sunny weather we have been having, I’d like the students to wear rubber boots. It can still be muddy and wet at Brookside. While at Brookside,Lynn Vanderkamp will take us on a tour of the wetlands and we will conduct a scientific investigation.
The students will complete the Nonfiction Poster with information about the topic they chose to research. They used Nonfiction texts and magazines to find facts about the topic. The poster will include 4 or more Nonfiction features on it. On Friday, the students will begin to share with their classmates.
