It is amazing that it is already the last week of October. This month has just flown by. When I look around the room I see so many artifacts of the work we have done. As I read over our past notes, I realize how much we have accomplished in such a short time.

We are in week 2 of independently working in our literacy centers. I have been very impressed by this groups level of independence. They are also extremely helpful to eachother if there is any confusion about what to do next. Our new lead story is Life in an Ocean. It is an informational text about ocean life. Next week in centers we will be brainstorming words related to the ocean. In science we will be observing artifacts from the ocean.

Thank you parents for returning the Home Connection folder in a timely manner. Activities will be coming home on average once or twice a week.

Looking ahead, we have our field trip to Krugers Farm next monday. Boy are we excitied!
