Yesterday we had a large catcher of ladybugs visit our classroom. It was another opportunity to be scientist, observing with magnifying glasses and using all of the senses to make scientific observations. In math we are learning about money, knowing the names of coins and their value. We are also adding money together up to $1.00. Please help your child to practice at home. The students are continuing to enjoy measuring and weighing objects, comparing size and length. We’re using words like more or less, greater than and less than, and finding the difference. Tuesday, May 18th was the 30 year anniversary of the eruption of Mt. St. Helens. Mr. Jamesberry showed some amazing slides of before and after pictures. The children were interested in the difference between lava and erupting ash.
