My class took their reading state test yesterday. We did fantastic! We just finished our math unit and their final tests came yesterday. In social studies, my students are pretending to be pioneers that have left for the Oregon Trail. They are learning while playing a simulation game! Last week, they left for their adventure. They built their wagon and they have a fake identity. They are writing diary entries during the simulation about their experience like to explain why they have chosen to go, what they’ll need to pack, and what it is like along the trail. Students were assigned a challenge homework project last week that will be presented at the Oregon Trail Gallery.

Camp is only 1 week away! The final OMSI camp bills went home along with medication permission forms. Please send in your camp money ASAP! We sent home a “packing list” a few weeks ago. I will send another list home today for kids who need one. Start collecting those camp items! UPCOMING: Art Night–May 6th Oregon Trail Gallery—May 27th @ 6:30
