***What a gorgeous, sunny Monday afternoon to be writing these notes. Here’s hoping it still is by the time you read this on Wednesday! Our Drama residency started today and will last four weeks. Right now, I’m hearing that the children will be doing their little performance on March 4th, both for the school in the afternoon and for families at
6:30 pm. If anything changes, I’ll let you know.
***The children are so excited about exchanging Valentines. We made some cute holiday butterflies to decorate our room and will create our special heart folders next.
Please send your Valentine treats on Friday morning. Thank you! =-)
***While our author of the month is Cynthia Rylant, we are also enjoying many versions of The Three Little Pigs in preparation for our trip to the Winningstad Theatre to see the “true story.” We are having a great time comparing and contrasting the books and noting the differences in characters and endings. Please be sure your child’s permission slip and money has been turned in as we have to get our fees in immediately to hold our reservation.
***We loved making paper with our guest last week! Please save half gallon milk or juice containers for an upcoming garden project. We need the type with the screw top lid on the top. Just wash them out with sudsy water, let them dry and send them in.
*** Remember, this week’s homework is focusing on the Weather Challenge projects
(along with Spelling.) The project plan is due Thursday.
