Last week we returned from Winter Break with a lot of energy and excitement to be back, relating our times and experiences together. We resumed our daily schedule of Morning Meeting, Work Time Centers and Guided Reading Groups, Math, Self Selected Reading, Writer’s Workshop and, (the much loved:), Circle Centers. This week we have P.E. on Monday and Friday and Music on Tuesday and Wednesday. If you want to join your child for lunch, please check in with the office and come to our room by 12:35. They love to have you come as a guest and the food is good, especially the locally grown foods offered. Thanks again for the support you have given your children on the items and information they bring for their sharing days. This week we began our journey into Fairy Tales with Rumpelstiltskin and Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We are also continuing to explore the works of Jan Brett. Math is geometric shapes and coins. Towards the end of the week we will be doing a lot of activities around Dr. Martin Luther Day. Please read everyday with your child it is not a choice, it is a duty:) and the greatest predictor of your child’s school success.
