These are a few of the folk heroes that the students will be introduced to in the coming weeks. They will not only enjoy reading these exaggerated adventures, but will gain valuable skills as they complete activities that require them to compare and contrast stories, read for details, determine cause and effect and write creatively.
I will be encouraging the students to share these tales with their families.
This week we will begin a new phase in Writing Workshop. The students will choose a piece that they have written, learn how to edit, and get it published. They are very excited about sharing their stories with family and friends!
Fun was had by one and all during our first Buddy Activity!
They created some awesome Leaf Creatures. Teacher Dana will laminate them for us.
Our next Buddy Time will be November13th.
Lucky Book Orders were sent home on Tuesday, November 3rd.
