The Special Education PTA of Portland was launched in late 2008 by a group of parents raising children with disabilities in the Portland Public School District. SEPTAP is a district wide Special Education PTA, focused on K-8 students.
Membership is open to all families, educators and community members interested in improving the education and well being of students with disabilities in their schools, homes and communities. Their goal is to work in partnership with our local PTA this coming year. SEPTAP holds bimonthly general meetings during the school year, featuring guest speakers, hot topic discussions, information and resources and social networking opportunities. You are welcome to join and work with SEPTAP.
