On Wednesday our first SMART Reading Program volunteers visited Lewis to work with students in grades K-3. This program provides an opportunity for community members to volunteer and read with students. Our volunteers include many retired people and also students from Reed College. Again this year we are very happy to have retired Lewis teacher Muriel Bennett lead this program. We thank SMART for their continued support of Lewis and of our students.
Families with students that will be enrolling in Kindergarten for the 2013-2014 school year are encouraged to register their child in the school office. For more information please call 503 916 6360.
Our 4th grade students are beginning to raise funds for their 5th grade science camp. All profits help us fund the 2013-2014 5th grade science camp. So come on down and enjoy a great cup of hot beverage and a sweet or savory treat. We take cash or card. Please bring your travel mug to receive a discount on your coffee purchase.
