On Monday, January 19, 2009, Lewis held a day of service in honor of the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Julia Hamlin lead a good sized group of students, staff, parents and community members, working on several project in our Outdoor Center. These included taking out an old raised bed to make room for new greenhouses, the laying of new woodchips in our path areas, and the beginning of a bioswail near our outdoor classroom. We thank all of our volunteers for their help and support. I am especially grateful to our older students and alumni who came out to help on their own. Some images are available below. A full screen slide show is available here.
